Stem Cell is to improve joint pain and healing joint injuries, mesenchymal stem cells are the right stem cells for the job. Mesenchymal stem cells are the type of stem cells that replicate and differentiate into bone, cartilage, connective tissue, and muscle cells. They reside in many areas throughout our body unit called upon by damaged joint cells using a messaging system called paracrine signaling. They respond to the damaged joint cells and begin to replicate and differentiate into bone, cartilage, connective tissue and muscle performing our body's amazing ability to heal itself.
So, why do we develop persistent joint pain and joint injuries that never seem to completely heal? The answer to this question is similar to many other health related questions. It has to do with age. The older we get, the fewer mesenchymal stem cells we have, which is one of the reasons our joints don't heal as fast as they did when we were young. Another reason is the conditions with our body where mesenchymal stem cells reside and the condition of the stem cell themselves can slow their ability to respond to damaged joint cells.
